In February and March, I visited Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Costa Rica with G Adventures. The majority of us in our group of 18 were solo travellers. By the end of the 32-day adventure, we were all sad that our trip was complete since we bonded so well during the month abroad. We escaped the resorts and discovered some extraordinary sites such as mighty ruins, clear Caribbean waters, Pacific waves, rainforests, and breathtaking scenery along the way. In Guatemala, we went to Indigenous Mayan villages and stayed with locals in their homes for an immersive experience that few travellers get to know. While we were free to choose our own adventure, the accommodation and transportation were included.
